Twice the Gift
The Pohlad Family Foundation is pleased to announce that Partnership Resources, Inc. (PRI) will be taking over the management of the retail operation and website development of Twice the Gift (TTG). During the last two years PRI has been very engaged with TTG. Together we learned firsthand what works and what can be improved to make TTG even more successful. We are confident that under PRI leadership, TTG will continue to grow.
The Pohlad Family Foundation has been the driving force of Twice the Gift (TTG) for the past two years. From inception the goal was to “sprout wings and fly”, by operating more independently in the near and longer- range future.
“PRI greatly appreciates the Pohlad Foundation awarding TTG to us,” announced Dan Reed, PRI’s Marketing Director. He went onto say, “PRI is proud to accept the grant and is committed to continuing the foundation’s legacy and looks forward to assuming the duties of operating TTG. PRI’s goal is simple: build on the TTG’s wonderful successes and make it the “go to place” for supporting nonprofit organizations.”
Participating organizations will continue to provide unique products and gift ideas including share card donations. Furthermore, TTG’s unique partnership of like-mined nonprofits joining forces will continue to greatly increase the awareness level of the community as a whole. Through this venue, generous individuals will contribute to many deserving causes all at once—and all at one place!
It is PRI’s intention to further develop the TTG concept and expand sales and fundraising opportunities. PRI CEO Norm Munk added, “We believe that TTG is an exciting business concept that can
grow and evolve into a major player in the ever changing businesses of retail, virtual shopping and dynamic fundraising.”

During the 2008 holiday season, The Pohlad Family Foundation (PFF) operated Twice the Gift (TTG), a storefront that provided selected Twin Cities’ based nonprofits an opportunity to earn income and solicit contributions by selling products and services. Nonprofits from Open Arms Minnesota to Arc Greater Twin Cities offered a variety of gifts for all ages. Additionally, “Gift Cards” were available exclusively at Twice the Gift. A Gift Card honored the recipient by supporting specific services or items needed by Twin Cities nonprofits. Gift Cards were created to underwrite everything from artists in residence at public schools to providing a week of emergency shelter for a family.
During our run last year from November 21-December 31, 2008, we exceeded our $100,000 goal with final sales close to $100,700. This represents a 30% increase from last year's sales. These were amazing results given the current economic and retail climate. Twice the Gift was underwritten for Twin Cities nonprofits by the Pohlad Family Foundation with 100% of the proceeds benefiting participating nonprofit organizations providing the gift or service.
